Training Tips For Mushing Your Pet Dog![]() Mushing Your Pet Dog With The Help Of Lynn Orbison Lynn Orbison is a training addict. She is a lifetime member of the Alaska Dog Mushers Association and lives in Two Rivers, Alaska where she can train out of her house on the best gee-haw trails in the world! Lynn was mentored by Kathy Frost and Lloyd Lowry and is a sprint racing junky. She is working to subdue her need for speed by training shelter dogs and has discovered that the joy of training is just as good without the white-knuckle adrenaline rush that comes when driving competitive winning dogs. (The dogs seem to be happy as long as the person is...within limits.) She is a living example of the motto: It's not the destination, it's the journey that matters. Oddly enough, it's taken her 20 years to realize that sprint mushers race on closed loop trails, and that if you have slow dogs you get to play longer. She is willing and able coach humans too, and invites visitors to her recreational farm and kennel. She has several foster dogs in training and available for adoption. Lynn has offered Alaskan Husky Behavior her expertise in mushing your pet dog.
