My kids

by Jim
(Illinois)

Thank you so much for your poem of the passing of Schmedley. So many times have many of us thought and experienced the same thing.

I lost my first in 95, went 8 years before getting another, then in another year had to have a second one, now looking at a third.

I know some day they must all pass on, but sharing the pain with someone else is comforting, even if it seems strange.

Here's a picture of the 2 current fur kids. Some how they just all seem a little more than just an animal. Some where in there is part human spirit.

Put your wife and your dog in the truck of your car, shut the lid, open the lid after one hour and see who is glad to see you.
