Stop discrimination!

I escaped from a communist country 40 plus years ago. Oppression, discrimination, and injustice in the totalitarian dictatorship I escaped from was of unheard of magnitude. Yet, even under those conditions, individuals were not restricted to have only certain types of dogs.
Banning certain breeds of dogs, especially in a society where most dogs are multibreed, is INSANE! It is the most blatant form of discrimination!
Taking someone's dog(s) and killing them is, I can't even find the right word, the most heinous, cruel, barbaric act I have ever heard of.
I grew up knowing that we are all just a link in the web of life and when we hurt any part, we hurt the whole. I hail from a family of doctors and nurses and learned at an early age that life was to be preserved, that all life is equally valuable. A horse values his life just as much as a pitbull does his or a person values her life.
Breed-specific laws are cruel, discriminatory, barbaric, archaic, immoral, anti-God, and belong in the dustpan of history.
